This hitch-ball was just not destined to get to me. When the package arrived there was a neat hole, just the right size for the ball to escape leaving the much bulkier hitch to remain imprisoned. At some point during its stay under guard at the Royal Mail, it tunnelled out, maybe under cover of darkness, maybe using a vaulting horse for cover, we will never know.In a vain attempt to cover up their lax security work, the Royal Mail covered the hole with some gaffer-tape (Quite likely an escapee from another Amazon package as it was the really good stuff) but this was securing the door well after the ball had bolted.Might I suggest that smaller, yet heavier items are shackled in some way before being imprisoned in the standard flimsy (And grossly oversized) box for shipping? Just a thought …..(EDIT) Just to add that I have ordered another one. Hope this one will remain incarcerated in it’s box until it gets here.
