Sturdier than the big box store ones
This is a replacement for a big box store door stop, that was too flimsy/weak for our commercial door, the cheap metal sheared off; although this item looked identical at first glance, the metal part is thicker/sturdier, and the stud pin provides better bracing. I installed both for extra support, drilling into cement was easier than I expected with proper tools (hammer drill, masonry bit).

Doesn’t work well on carpeted floors
Maybe it should have been a no brainer that the little projection on the underside of the door stop wouldn’t be the best choice to use on a carpeted floor with a thicker foam underlayment. These stops are well made and I like their size. it would have been perfect for a stop for our new interior barn door, but because it’s going to be a chore to get it installed, it now sits on the counter waiting for someone to get motivated.

Nice Build, Missing Details
Screw for installation stripped really easily and is bright silver compared to the dark body of the doorstop. Additionally, the plastic part is a bit more firm than I would expect â the door bounces off of it instead of having some of the movement absorbed. Other than that, the shape and feel are pretty good!
