Proudly built in the USA Specs: Clamp Plate: ½ inch high strength steel, welded construction, black zinc coated Receiver Slide: ¼ inch high strength steel, black zinc coated Bolt and Nut: ⅝-18 Thread with lock nut, zinc coated Fit: This item fits the 2.5″ receivers on newer full-size Ford, Dodge and Chevy Trucks. Measure the inside of the receiver hole. It should be slightly larger than 2.5 inches. Do not measure the outside.
This HitchClamp is for Full Size Trucks with a 2.5″ receiver using a 2.5″ accessory. This will not work with a sleeve. If using a sleeve choose our 2.5 x 2″ reducer clamp. Please measure the inside of the receiver hole and verify it is a 2.5″.
The 2 1/2″ Hitch Clamp is built for the Lager 2.5″ receivers that are on the newer full size trucks. This will not work on the new Fords with a 3″ hitch and reducer sleeve.
This is the ideal setup for attaching bike racks, cargo carriers, dirt bike racks, equipment haulers, weight reduction hitches or standard 2.5″ hitches to your truck.
Built from high strength steel and built for years of service and ready for your next adventure.
Fits, Ford F250 & F350 , Dodge 2500 & 3500 and Chevy 2500 & 3500 trucks. If using with a sleeve buy our 2.5 x 2 hitch clamp or Cross-Clamp 2.5″ instead.

Heavy Duty
This is by far the best anti rattle clamp out there. It works with everything except ball mounts that have a curve in them such as Curt forged 4″ drop.

Works Great on My 41″ Trailer Hitch Extension
With my truck camper I run a 41″ long trailer hitch extension to pull my drift boat. So with the extension any slop in the receiver hitch is magnified back where the boat connects. i was worried that the bolt to tighten things up would not work too well but I was wrong. This is built solid and does exactly what I need it to do. I really like that there is only one bolt to deal with and carry a 15/16″ wrench in my trucks door so it is easy to remove and install when needed.

American Made
My garage is a tight fit for a 19 mega cab 3500. I have a B&W hitch 7â drop. It has 2 holes for the hitch pin. I prefer the pin that sets the hitch closest to the truck as most do. I did have to do some modification to the bracket to for it to clear my hitch. But it worked out ok after I ground it down. It puts enough tension on the hitch I donât worry about someone stealing it and I donât run a locking hitch pin.

Money!
All these years of dealing with a rattle when without a load. I had no idea this type of product existed. This thing is Money! No more rattle. Fits a Curt adjustable ball mount (2 1/2″). The Curt ball mount has a steel support at a 45 degree angle right where the Hitch clamp is supposed to sit flush, so it will not sit flush like it probably would with other ball mounts. That said, I tightened it up and have had no issues. Well worth the money…

doesn’t fit my 2021 ram 2500.
Love the concept but wouldn’t mount to the hitch without rubbing the paint off my bumper on a 2021 ram 2500 night edition. Quality product though!

Stopped the rattle
I have a 2016 Ram pickup with the factory 2.5″ hitch receiver. After about a year of towing heavy trailers I noticed the hole for the hitch pin was starting to develop some play, presumably from the pin sliding back and forth with starting and stopping. I also didn’t like the clunk I heard as it slid.I bought this hitch clamp because it was the only one I could find that looked like it would fit my truck. It does. When it came, the bolt did not turn easily in the threaded part of the clamp, nor did the lock nut turn freely by hand. I could tell that this was going to be annoying to use so I ran a tap through the threads on the clamp and nut and a die on the bolt. This cleaned up the roughness and made installing the clamp much easier. I know you shouldn’t have to repair a brand new product, but I had the tools and it was an easy fix.The first time I installed the clamp onto the hitch I noticed that I had to pull it out about a quarter inch in order to allow the bolt to clear a piece on my truck’s receiver hitch. Keeping that in mind, I’ve been using it successfully for abut a year. It does prevent the clunk from starting and stopping and I haven’t seen any more play developing in my hitch. So far, so good.I’d buy this again, and wish I had bought it when the truck was new.

Simple idea cheap fix for an annoying problem!
I have pulled bumper hitch trailers for years. With pickup trucks coming with 2.5â receiver hitches and inserting 2â ball shafts there is too much play in the hitch. My new RV trailer had a little too much sway at highway speed for comfort. This hitch clamp took all of the wiggle out of my hitch. Now I never have a problem. Such a simple idea that works.
