    Impressive.
This book is a comprehensive guide that covers all the essential concepts of computer science and coding in a clear and concise manner. The book is organized into seven chapters, each covering a different topic, from programming languages to algorithms and data structures. One of the book’s strengths is its accessibility. It is written in a language that is easy to understand and avoids using technical jargon. The illustrations and diagrams also help to make the concepts more accessible and easy to follow. The book is designed for middle school students, but it is also suitable for beginners who are interested in learning about computer science and coding.Another strength of the book is its organization. Each chapter is divided into smaller sections, making it easy for readers to find the information they need. There are also review questions at the end of each chapter to help readers test their knowledge and reinforce the concepts they have learned. The book is also up-to-date, covering contemporary topics such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The authors have done an excellent job of presenting these complex concepts in a way that is accessible and easy to understand.Overall, “Everything You Need to Ace Computer Science and Coding in One Big Fat Notebook” is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about computer science and coding. good books for the kids
These series of books including this CS book is great for kids wanting to learn computer science and coding. Goes over various topics and fundamentals that you’ll learn in CS, but explained at a more elementary level with informative pictures and is great reference for kids/middle school, as they learn to use computers much earlier now then when i was growing up. So if your kids are interested in computers at an early age, plop one of these books on their shelf as a reference and see if they get more into it. If your kids grew up with minecraft or roblox, they surely wanted to modify or program them using java or lua and this book although not language specific will teach most of the fundamentals of how computers work and how logic is used to program them. Next would be a kids python book as it’s one of the more heavily used languages out there now. Anyways good starter book!

Coding Mastery for All Ages <3
This book has been an invaluable resource for me on my journey to understanding the basics of computer science and coding. This guide breaks down complex topics into manageable, bite-sized pieces, making learning both fun and easy. Its clear explanations, alongside engaging examples, have helped me grasp concepts that once seemed out of reach. One of the highlights of this book is its friendly and approachable tone. It’s like having a personal tutor guiding you through every step, ensuring you build confidence along with your new skills. The illustrations are not only helpful but make the learning process more enjoyable. For anyone looking to start their coding journey or strengthen their understanding of computer science fundamentals, this notebook is a fantastic tool. It’s made a significant difference in my learning, and I appreciate how it makes complex topics accessible to learners of all ages.

    Great Entry Point
This is a palatable and easy entry point to computer science. Anyone looking for actual commands for a programming language will need more, but this helps one to understand the general terms and concepts of computer science in a note-like layout.

    Beautifully written and bound BOOK
This is an awesome book for the average person who wants to learn about computers, and computer software engineering. I took some computer programming back in the 1980s, and this book has refreshed my memory, and also introduced me to “block” (Graphical) Programming using the ‘SCRATCH’ language/compiler. Wish that they had, had that back in the 90s, as typing in the code for each command was a ‘PIA’.They also talk about a Programming Language called Python, that uses the traditional style, but w/out the “line numbers” that were required by BASIC, and GWBASIC that were popular in the ’80s. This book is based, supposedly, on the notes that cover(ed) what was taught in a class offered in a middle school. This book is 560+ pages long, and also has beautiful graphical illustrations. This book was written for students, so it isn’t loaded with terms and concepts that are way above the average person’s head. Unlike many books on computers and programming, you don’t need an engineering degree to understand it.Unlike many more expensive books this one has:1) a ‘stitched’ binding, thus the pages won’t fall out like with glued bindings, a durable semi-hard (stiff) binding.2) a ‘color coded table of contents.3) a copious index of topics and items covered in the text.4) tons of beautiful and fun illustrations.5) quizzes on what was covered in the chapter to which attached.6) an unbelievably low price.
